In October 2023, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s aerial unit flew 160 hours and covered 20,569 kilometers. The aerial unit was predominantly occupied with monitoring poaching activities, administering veterinary treatments, and relocating wildlife. Their veterinary units attended to a total of 53 wildlife cases with 20 of them being elephant-related and 21 of them being poaching-related.
