In September 2022, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust confiscated 31 kilograms of bushmeat, 47 kilograms of ivory, made 92 arrests, and destroyed 1124 snares. The team also discovered 5 charcoal kilns and 23 hideouts including 7 poachers’ hideouts. Their veterinary units attended to a total of 76 wildlife cases with 21 of them being elephant-related and 38 of them being poaching-related.
